Walking on this launchpad is pretty wild. Knowing that such history took place there and that heroes lost their lives there makes it surreal. It is beautiful and somber at the same time. There is a nice area of benches dedicated to the three astronauts that lost their lives in the fire during a test launch. There is also an area explaining Launch Complex 34 and more about the astronauts and their mission. You can see blast blockades and other remnants of structures that have been worn down by the natural elements of Cape Canaveral.

Your English is better than my Dutch! This is where the Saturn was launched in the '60s. It was a 2-stage, 190 foot tall vehicle that was fully operational after only 7 research and development flights. Operationally, it was used to launch the Pegusus satellite.
I think you have to have someone that is authorized to take you.
Yes you can visit Pad 34 and the bus tour is excellent!
