Underrated historical site that is very much worth a visit that reveals why so many bridges have been built here.

Enjoy walking the trail along the canal and thinking of yesteryear.

Questions & Answers

Are you open year-round? If not, when do you close for the winter?

Great Question - the grounds of the site are open throughout the year from Sunrise to Sunset each day. The Visitor Center/Museum is open seasonally from May 1st to October 31st. Special events and reservations for groups can be accommodated during our off-season as well.

Is there activities for the kids

Yes, there are events appropriate for kids. Best example is Canal Days (July 14-15, 2018) with all sorts of activities for children and adults
