This has been 1 of the nicest State park campgrounds I have been to. The grass is well kept the roads are all paved with large private sites . They have trails for walking and biking over or around the marsh .

The ospreys who nest here have raised another brood this year.

Yes. There are two separate paved areas.
Yes you should. The Rangers monitor quite a bit. If you are only fishing there you will only need the inland fishing license
You will need to call or go on their website.
There are water pumps/ spigots along the road, every 4th or 5th site, and a tank filling hose just beyond the dump station.
Yes, all sites have electric. There is potable water five or six places within the campground. There is a dump station. There is one bath house with showers and toilet facilities.
No long term sites. I don't think they worry about age.
No, this is a national park campground.
Yes. Dogs are allowed but they must be kept on a leash.
About 5 min normal traffic. If it is nice and sunny and the weekend your drive will take about 25 to 30 min depending on traffic. Fridays from 4 till 6pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm until 4 pm are usually the most heavy traffic times.
Right side of the camp 9 through 13
I know other people had more than one vehicle at there site. But I can't say for sure
No cabins or cottages there.
I'm thinking about 20 to 30.00 dollars a night, I'm thinking you have to call reaction . gov. I don't have a phone number for them, sorry I couldn't help
We used to race down from Raleigh and try to beat the gate. Now we register online ahead of time and reserve our campsite. The official rule is that the gate closes at 10 PM, but we've never experienced the gate actually being locked.
Yes, they open seasonally. Not sure what max stay is.

Please call the campground! It is a wonderful place.
