Typical of Sanford, this place SUCKSSSSSSSSS! Don't waste your time! They are so disrespectful and condescending!!!!!!!!!
Barb Rouhier-Wallace
They are seem to be understaffed, but they wont take the time to answer questions. Being short staffed is no excuse to be rude and non-helpful.

The Sanford office was very efficient and extremely pleasant, even though only 1 worker for a while during lunch. Very great experience.

It's understaffed, there was a very long wait, and the chairs are not very comfy. However, the staff that was there worked diligently to process all walk-ins and appointments until their que was full. Be aware, they do cut off walk-ins if the que is full. However if you arrive early enough, you may just land a spot. Overall, the same problems all NC DMV have, but at least the staff were very friendly and worked hard.

They are you need to set a appointment at the ncdot.org to get it fixed. https://www.ncdot.gov/dmv/license-id/driver-license-appointments/Pages/default.aspx
Go to online to NCDMV & you will either have to set an appointment or depending on how you renewed it before, you can renew it on the website. The prices are on there too.
Try the registration...
I would try the vin# and all paper work for car in that person name
It would be less waiting time if you did schedule an appt.
I just was told by DMV you can get them as early as 6 months early.
Yes the only thing you can make an appointment for there is if you're taken the drivers test but the appointments are 2 3 4 months down the road
If newly married or divorced, you will need those documents along with the court documents. Just something to prove it's a legal change.
Yes just do it early in the morning if they get full they won't take you in but morning are usually smooth to go.
I do believe so
I moved here in September and had to make an appointment and had to wait 4 months to get it, just for a new driver's license.
Actually, if you get there early they will have you on standby so if someone misses an appointment or they just have a minute they'll fit you in, I did have to wait about 2 hours though
Pretty sure they only accept appointments.
No not yet
Not currently. Check online at ncdot.gov
Yes, go on line. Even when you show up for the appointment you have to wait before they let you in
My 18-year old is being required to get his Permit for 90 days first.
Go to DMV website.
We were there on Monday and they won't schedule appointments over the phone. Sorry. My daughter made an appointment at Skiptheline.ncdot.gov. I hope this helps
Last I checked they are still closed
Yes if you wanna pay online
Go to dmv.com. renew license
A non-drivers license ID is $13 in North Carolina.
Yes
It's $10
Fastest and easiest is to go online and order a duplicate at www.ncdot.gov/dmv/license-id/renewal-duplicate-license.aspx
No. If you regular Class C hasn’t expired for more than 2 yrs, all testing isn’t required, any other credential it is a year. Under those time frames you do not have to retest.
They don't make them. You get a paper copy and then it is mailed to you.
Yes
