I have taken my daughter to build-a-bear every year for her birthday, and this is the first bad experience I've ever had. Upon entering the store, I asked a store associate, Brigid, if they price matched the Halloween stitch bundle on the website. She took a deep breath and said everything in the store was full price. I chose to ignore this and continue with one of my favorite birthday traditions. Then, while we were picking out sounds to go in the bear, she.xomes overand proudly states that we.cannot use the sound we ohave chosen because it MAY BE copyrighted. She cannot produce this in writing and proceeds to laugh when my daughter begins crying as she walks away. This is quite possibly the WORST build-a-bear experience I have ever had and quite frankly, this associate needs to be retrained in her customer service skills or fired altogether. Judging by the other reviews left, this is the standard here and has continuously been left unaddressed. Take your business elsewhere if you're looking to have a pleasant experience with your kid.

They have lots of options to customize your bear and make the experience memorable.

Better go in the morning or on a weekday. Long line with my impatient daughter makes me want to pull my hair out but my daughter loves it so I'll be back. On the definite upside, employees are super nice and always sweet with the kids.

I'd prepare to spend roughly 18$ on the bear its self on the lower end, another 10-30$ on cloths, shoes, hats, glasses etc. The more known the brand of bear and clothing is the more you will spend, however they do have cheaper basic options that are just as cute! I would expect to spend around 50$ average from my past adventures.
Yes, you can do that! They have sound buttons where you can record your own messages. It can get kind of loud in the store, so I suggest going when their hours show them as less busy or seeing if they have a restroom where you can go and record it (when I made a bear after my grandma died, the store let me record in their bathroom, but I don't know if all stores have bathrooms open to public).
Generally when you enter you pick out your bear, it's voice, how firm you want it stuffed, and any clothes you want for it. Then they'll fill it onsite while you watch. I'm not 100% sure if they have ready made bears in the store, but you can order them online from their website.
You give the employee the bear immediately after picking then you dont get to touch it again until its all sewn up and ready for clothes. Other than that standard mask and distancing protocol applies.

Yes thier is a lion king to be built
Yes you can stuff in store. Not sure about availability
Can range from about $25-35 for the bear/animal, and then the accessories start around $5 and go to about $15. Total can vary widely buy what you are willing to spend.
