You may want to contact legal aid and ask one of the attorneys that question and they will be able to assist you with that. Because I'm not sure.
You will have to call they have them all the time its not a long session and they give you the packet to do and show you how to do it.
OakTree Brannon, nearly every person on this site is going to be asking a legal question of some form, whether it is directed to legal aid or about legal aid. I don't think it invalidates the question that this one is to them, rather than about them. Most are looking for help online because the legal aid phone line gives options for different things, then claims that they cannot help. To speak to a laywer. Most charge $50 for a 30 minute consultation, it says. Well, most people cannot afford that, or are on a fixed income. There's nothing wrong with Sue posting that question.
Make an appointment to see an attorney.
No, Medicaid would have no claim against her, since the house had been out of her name for over 5 years. Medicaid may send a letter after her death asking if she had any assets that could be used to help pay her nursing home bill. Let them know she had no assets when she died.
They used to but not anymore.
