Go to S. C. State parks reservations online. You can see the dates and the openings. State parks are very busy this year, you might need up to 3- 4 months advanced reservations.

Go into the park before the office there is a large parking lot there you could probably stay for a few hours however you can go in the campground with 40 foot 5th wheeler on motorhome it is a little difficult around the far north end just go slow

There are deer and turkey along with all the normal smaller animals (squirrel, racoons,etc.) Bear have been reported but I have not seen any. I can tell you there are rattlesnakes from personnel experience

Google Maps can answer that question. After you have one place pulled up you click "directions". Then you put the destination and it will give you the distance and travel time. This works when sitting at a computer at maps.google.com or using your Google Maps app.

Hi there. I'm one of the host at the park.. You do have to make reservations through the park instead of online to reserve the backcountry sites.. I did see one of my best friends mentioning to make sure you hang your food.. there is definitely a bear in the area.. We camp there a lot and we have seen signs of him many times including his scat on the rocks that you have to cross to get to the other side of the trail.. the Blue Trail is considered a recreation Trail and you can hike it all the way to Crowders Mountain three parks 2 States .. It's called the original trail that takes you to Crowders Mountain you will have to call the office.. I believe the office hours are 11 to 12 and 4 through 5 right now during the winter months because the trading post is closed. $2 each day and each adult.. overnight parking is at Lake Crawford
