They treat you meanly, female staff in particular seems ready for a fight for any word out of your mouth, doesnt have the bathroom facilities for the amount of guests 1 shower 1 toilet (both in the same room) per 10 people. Guests must do cooking and cleaning chores, supper starts too early, soon as you get in from a trying day being outside from daybreak. Curfew at 4pm you cant have a life, no help or guidance, people with obviously mental issues there for a long time who should qualify for some kinda care. Typical, bedrooms although shared are above average for a shelter, meaning they put out the lights and let you shut the door at night so some sleep is possible.

Staff are over worked .I was house manger for about two years , a staff came to me with a complaint about another staff verbally abusing management I forwarded to management I was suspended and the other staff who forwarded the complaint wAs suspended . He quit then I quit . Fake allegations one hostile office management at summer st . Fillled a discrimination against the director Judith pastier nest . Then after a new program director Sylvia came in I started getting suspensions a threat to be fired so I quit horrible place to work actually it’s the management . It’s a good concept but director refuses to step foot into the shelter to meet guests

Kevin was the nicest man I ever met in my life and this was the nicest facility I've ever been to PERIOD, I read a few of the lower star reviews and was shocked, OBVIOUSLY none of these people have been homeless for long or have had the unfortunate luck to stay at more then one, I've stayed at 4, this was BY FAR the best place I've ever been to... I literally was just sitting here telling my wife how this place saved my life , I had looked up the number in hopes of volunteering to serve dinner. I still struggle to make ends meat but I'll forever be endebted to this place and hope one day I can give back and maybe change someone's life like they did mine. Thank you Kevin, thank you our fathers inc. you saved my life

Went to them many years ago for help when I was 17 and was turned away and told I must be addicted to drugs. I had never tried anything at that point. Some time later when I had just turned 18 I returned for help and while I was there my mother who I had an active restraining order against showed up at the door threatening me. They told me to leave and made me go back outside to her. Granted this was many years ago I have heard similar stories and their actions very negatively impacted my life
