I walked into the gas station across from Central Highschool tonight to buy a drink, unfortunately for me. The only other person in the gas station was a kid with head phones on and a hoodie using the ATM. I looked around a realized that this person, who ignored everything around them, was actually the on duty clerk. Thinking that this can't be I tried to ask her. After my second attempt, I had to yell so she could hear me. After taking off the head phones, I asked if she worked there, but this question was obviously far below her pay grade as she began an immature display of "don't bother me, I do what I want." Confused if I was talking to a fictional Cartman from South Park or on a hidden cam prank show, I left the drink on the counter, walked out, telling her that if she didn't want to ring me out, she can put the drink away (both actions of which were to much for her to accomplish). As I was getting to my car, she found the energy to begin embarrassing herself over the outdoor intercom by asking me what my problem was. Not being self aware, she couldn't tell that she was the problem. I really hope there is a competent manager who can read this and fire her. She needs to grow up so she can "reach the counter" like an adult and put her home problems away while she works.
