I noticed this Geek Squad is ALWAYS busy whenever I shopped here so whenever I had an issue with my computer I made an appointment by calling 1-800 GEEK SQUAD and short guy with a big beard helped resolve my issue.

We didn’t have an appointment but they attended us anyways. It was a last minute thing since our phone just decided to shut down on us. We went to Geek Squad and the service member, Braian was beyond amazing. Thanks to him we got our phone back without losing all of our precious pictures and memories. Amazing service and very attentive, I highly recommend getting attended by Braian.

Geek Squad reccommends appointments in order to see you in a timely manner. If you were to walk in without an appointment, the Agents at the counter will ask you questions to see what steps to take next. If your device seems as if it requires physical repairs or a replacement, an appointment is required and would be made for the next available appointment. If your device does not require physical repairs or a replacement, Geek Squad will be able to help but they will attend to their appointments and thus you would have to wait until an Agent frees up if you did not want to make a reservation to be seen.
Consultations are free since it is just asking questions. During the consultation, Agents would gather information and consult you on what your options are and what may be best for you and your individual situation with that gathered information. If work has or is to be done, such as password reset, something installed or updated on your device, data transfer, hardware install; then expect a service charge. Most service fees start at $40 but your charge at the end will reflect the services requested and is collected before a device is worked on. A Geek Squad agent will tell you if there is a membership or plan that Best Buy offers that will cover the services needed/requested.
Since Geek Squad is an Apple Authorized Service Provider, they follow the procedures set by Apple. Chances are if the iPhone is 5 years or older, Geek Squad will not have the parts on hand at the store and will have to send out the iPhone if it is supported by Apple still. Apple makes a distinction between "vintage" and "obsolete" products. Vintage products are Apple products that haven't been manufactured for more than 5 years, but less than 7 years. The parts are very limited when vintage. Obsolete products haven't been manufactured for more than 7 years. Apple discontinues all hardware service for obsolete products, with the sole exception of Mac notebooks that are eligible for an additional battery-only repair period. Service providers cannot order parts for obsolete products." If you are unsure if your device is currently supported hardware by Apple, please contact Apple Support.
It depends, could be $129 or it could be $30 before taxes depending on your Apple Care + coverage. Geek Squad would have to verify the correct repair by running a physical inspection, running diagnostics, and checking for liquid damage. If they have the part in store, they can do same day repair and it takes between 2-3 hours to do depending on how my iPhone are ahead of yours for service. If they dont have the part instore, they can collect payment for the service and order the part for you. The part will arrive between 2-5 days and youll just drop your phone off for service whenever it comes in and it should be ready between 2-3 hours.
No they would not. TVs without a protection plan with Best Buy would not be able to be serviced and cannot be physically damaged as well. Geek Squad would be able to send out devices with protection plans or AppleCare+. Geek Squad is able to send home theatre devices purchased at Best Buy and within manufacturer warranty (usually 1 Year) for repair. Asus computers purchased at Best Buy are also able to be sent out for service under manufacturer warranty(not physical damage).
