Was such a wonderful time! There's a host on site at all times, servel bathrooms throughout the whole camp, and a main bathroom with showers inside, and nice hot water! Firepits, with a shelter to keep wood dry, picnic table, and an all gravel spot! Also they allow animals as long as you keep them on a leash, and pick up after them!! We will definitely be returning soon. 😁

Such a beautiful campground! Site #41 is lake front! The perfect spot

Cardens bluff is nice dry camping forest service area. It is more intended for tent campers because there is only a couple sites for small RVs. We have a 24’ class C and it was a bit tight maneuvering. Not much hiking here because the park …

Wonderful campsites near the lake with great views. Mostly private sites, quiet and clean. Our host was Rex who was very helpful and attentive. This campground is not allowed to sell firewood, so buy wood at a convenience store on your way. Also, be aware that the tent pads are small.

Yes unfortunately it has closed for the winter .
Some sites do have room for campers. I would suggest making a reservation online to ensure a proper site. www.recreation.gov or 1-877-444-6777
You can put a canoe or kayak in near site 33. It's a short carry (only a minute) to the water.
On recreation.gov then you have to set up an account on the website... There's a $8 reservation fee on top of your overall site fee total
No
Just walk it down to the water
12$ single campsite site and I'm pretty sure 20$ for a group site it is a beautiful place I would recommend making a reservation as it can fill up rather quickly
When i try to get a spot its keeps telling me they r close till monday ... I liven in boone trying to find a good place for me and the family its my 9 Year old bday we just looking for one night
A lot of the better sites are booked two to three months in advance
There is a map available on line. Check it out for sites and info.
At the gate there are parking places. You will have to park and walk back to tour camp site.
If you have senor pass it's 6 a night. You do not get reservation fee back. Site 38 - 41 are the best.
We were there recently. The campground is amazing! The bathrooms do work but just a heads up, other than the main bathrooms, bring a flashlight if it's dark outside.
Water is available but not at individual campsites. There is no sewer hookups. They do have well maintained restrooms around the campground and a centrally located shower house.
12 dollars a night no discount for multiple nights
When we made our reservation they gave us a sign in time. We got there a little early and site was already empty so they let us sign in early
There aren't any campsites with electric. There are a few campsites you could park a van, but all the sights are intended for tents so there's no electric or water at any of them
They're already open. I think they opened Memorial Day weekend.
