You can't beat Dennis Cove for a great place to camp, hike and fish. There is also a small picnic area as well. It's a wonderful mountain getaway not to far away.

Beautiful place to camp in a rural setting. Very quiet and trails with interviews abound. Camp is clean and well maintained, but it is rustic and simple. Perfect for a weekend getaway or a place to visit while passing through. Be aware that road up to the camp ground has many switchbacks and it is not suitable for large RV or long camper trailers. It is remote, so no stores or restaurants up there. The Black Bear Cabins have a little snack shop with water, some beverages, and light snacks when they are open. While the little store is nice, they don't carry grocery items, so make sure you bring in your food and take the advised bear precautions for both the bears sake and yours in your campsite. This campground and recreation area is a must see for nature lovers who are ok with roughing it a little. Very well worth it.

Some buddies and I have been coming up for a few months now pretty regularly, and I cannot praise the campground enough. The sites are always raked up and spotless upon our arrival, and we have yet to pull through the gates without being greeted by the park host, Dale, who is always incredibly helpful and hospitable to every group who ventures onto the grounds. I have, and will continue to, recommend the park to friends looking for a well-kept camping area and exceptional customer service.

I spent $28 for two nights
Very strict. Best not to let anyone see, smell, or hear about you in possession. Law enforcement has to deal with it if it is reported to them by other campers etc. FYI
Yes you can. I'm pretty sure a guy sells firewood on the road to Dennis Cove.
