We checked in to 4552 Parkside in Kiawah and the home smelled like bleach, so much so we had to open the porch sliding door to let it air out. The screen was laying on the outside patio so you can’t open the screen to the outside. The screened in porch was disgusting, I wouldn’t even sit on the nasty furniture. The inside of the house is old and dirty, the cushions at the kitchen table are all ripped up on the seats. The carpets in the bedrooms are gross. We killed 5 cockroaches while staying two nights, and tons of ants. The toilet would constantly run if you didn’t jiggle the handle. The thermostat had a sign that you can’t put the temperature below 70, luckily it was mid 70’s the whole time we’re there, I don’t know how anyone could stay at the condo and not turn it below 70 in middle of summer. There was only one extra blanket in the closest. The kitchen is hardly stocked with anything. We would never stay in this disgusting place again. We originally booked a nicer place on Seabrook Island and later were told the condo was sold and we needed to choose somewhere else. Vacasa sent us a list of pet friendly places in Kiawah Island and this appeared as the nicest place on pictures which is sad how gross it is in person. It’s sad there’s not any nicer pet friendly places at this 5 star resort.

Beautiful house. Very clean. Came with no gas in the grill and was declined a refill when I called the help staff. Not thrilled with service as we planned to grill as a family.

Dirty house, full on any sort of insects. When we complained they only hang out the phone rudely. We spent half day, where supposed to be one week. No refund, they cannot care less.

What’s Trip Protection?

Trip Protection is an optional supplement to your reservation. When you opt in for Trip Protection, you’ll be eligible for a full refund for any nights canceled due to illness, death in the family, flight delays, flight cancellations, or road closures due to bad weather. You can purchase it up to 30 days before your reservation. (If you’re booking within 30 days of check-in, you can add Trip Protection up to 24 hours from the time of making the reservation.)

Nope! We don’t start counting kids towards the occupancy until they’re over the age of two. (There are exceptions in certain communities, but we’ll make it clear in the home’s description and agreement when that’s the case.)

If you cancel: Within 24 hours of booking, you’ll receive a full refund. 30 days or more before your trip, you’ll receive a refund of any rental payments you’ve made, minus the booking fee. Within 30 days of your trip, refunds are only given if you’ve purchased Trip Protection and the reason for your cancellation falls within its guidelines
