We absolutely loved the Wildberry. The room was comfortable with a spectacular view. We enjoyed the many amenities the lodge offered - hiking trails, pool table, and numerous places to relax and enjoy a drink. The staff and proprietors were friendly and engaging and each breakfast was a unique delight. Easy access to Asheville makes it a great place to stay and still enjoy trips into the city. Do be prepared for some twisting backroads and a steep gravel driveway, but it’s well worth it.

Beautiful place to stay! The lodge is charming and the views are spectacular. Glenda, Ken, and Darla took wonderful care of us. Our stay with them was extremely hospitable. They were warm and inviting, made us feel like part of the family. The food was awesome and served with love. Our room was spacious and quiet.

One of the best bed and breakfasts! We stayed in the “honeymoon” cabin which was separate from the rest of the lodge, but the same amazing views. The air was fresh, the dogs friendly and the owners amazing. The cabin package with the breakfast add on is well worth it (included if you stay in the main lodge) was fantastic! We took our honeymoon in the fall of 2021 and the trails along side gave us some great autumn foliage. It was the perfect get away. And when ever we are close to Asheville or the Smokies we know where we are staying. We will have milestone anniversaries there for sure. It’s a treat and worth every penny and some.

Glenda, Darla, and Ken were all amazing. I organized a surprise engagement for my girlfriend in their honeymoon suite and it went perfectly. The honeymoon suite itself is gorgeous with breathtaking views and a large balcony, a luxurious bathroom, and big fireplace. I reached out to Glenda in advance and she was very generous with her time in helping with anything that I needed. She worked with some of my friends to deliver a celebratory bottle of champagne to us during our proposal. In the morning we had an incredible breakfast lemon pancakes with peach cobbler and local farm sausage, it was insanely good. They were very sweet and took a genuine interest in our stay and in our special occasion. I couldn't recommend more, we are going to make this an annual get away trip.

Yes. in March 2019 we added 2+ miles of hiking trails on the property. 2 more will be coming this fall. Stay tuned.
There are several restaurants in Asheville, roughly thirty minutes away. Plenty of craft breweries too,if you are into that.
