It was just by chance that my husband and I ended up here but I am sure thankful we did. We snagged one night at a cabin as we were traveling through and it was by far the best night of our trip! Perhaps it was the simplicity that stood out and made us fall in love. Irregardless, we swam in the cool river and it was a blast. There was plenty of spaces to walk, swim, listen to the river, and even a small field perfect for playing any kind of games with the family. We went to a nearby Walmart and was able to cook our own meal followed by marshmallows by the fire pit. Wood was available for purchase and there were shower houses and dumpsters. I thoroughly enjoyed the cabin, though! It was fully stocked, comfy, cozy, and, most importantly, clean. I am a bit OCD and thoroughly inspect places before staying and this passed all tests minus a little hair at the the shower drain. Otherwise this place is up picturesque and a true hidden gem.

The campground hosts were wonderful and we got a tent site right on the river! We were able to camp during the week and there was hardly anyone in the campground which made for a nice, peaceful week. It’s right on the Pigeon river and close to the smokies, so there is lots to do! Additionally, it’s a great price for tent camping with warm showers and bathrooms.

Place is a hidden Gem. My wife and I stayed in site 13 backed up to the river and it was such a joy! This campground is well maintained and cared for. The maintenance fellow worked very hard all morning to make certain the bathrooms were spotless. They have Ice and firewood which made it nice. The shade trees were my favorite as it was the middle of June. Most of all the privacy and quite were most important to us. Not a single soul bothered us, nor did we encounter any neighbors. We stayed in our Saltscapes trailer and Trailhawk Jeep.

We loved it here. Debbie is an exceptional host and can give you some great tips about area attractions. Our riverside campsite was picture perfect. Clean, quiet, and beautiful. You will see probably a couple hundred rafts going by a day, so just have that as an expectation. The river sites were a bit close together but we were the only campers there so it didn’t bother us. Next time we probably will rent two as a precaution, as I think it would be pretty tight and uncomfortable if we had any neighbors.
