Civil War Fort!!!!

This is a "Fort" at the top of a hill that has a cannon, outhouse, flag and beautiful view. IT IS AN INCREDIBLY STRENUOUS WALK/HIKE to the top! I'm a personal trainer, and I was dying by the time I got to the top (the 90° heat didn't help, lol). Manageable if you stop frequently at the benches along the way. Gravel/grass walkway the entire way up. NOT handicap friendly due to the steep climb and terrain. I took pictures of EVERYTHING if you can't make it up! Know before you go!

It was closed for the season but we walked around and enjoyed the sights and signs around the area.

We saw a sign in the interstate on the way home, thought it would be cool and educational for the kids and a chance to stretch our legs, only to get there and they are closed. It would have been nice to know they are closed this time of year before we drove 16 mins out of our way to see it. Maybe you should put some kind of sign on the big sign to let people know when your open/closed before they make a detour to see it
