Very good Italian food. They give you a bread basic with an olive dish that I can't remember the name of. I didn't know it was olives before I tried it, which was a good thing because I don't like olives. But this dish did not have that olive taste & it was so good.

I went to Bella Verona with a couple who had been there before (he called it "a lovely little Italian spot"). Lovely indeed! We sat indoors, a a cozy table for three. The seating was a bit tight, but not uncomfortably so, and I was glad we had reservations. There is outside seating, but I recommend the inside for atmosphere. The menu had a number of interesting options. One of my friends ordered the veal saltimbocca, the other one of the day's specials: lobster ravioli. When I inquired about the latter, I could not resist--homemade pasta with a cream sauce infused with saffron. Simply wonderful! We followed with dessert: a tiramisu, a creme caramele pudding, and a chocolate profiterole with white chocolate mousse filling. All delicious! The service was impeccable... prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout. My only regret is that I don't have photos to share. Highly recommended!

Delightful little place. Makes you feel like you're actually in Italy. Service is impeccable. Went light on dinner save room for a wonderful dessert and espresso. Romantic place for a evening out.

This restaurant is an absolute five-star chef hiding in a homey hole-in-the-wall in Salem! admittedly, we were just roaming trying to find a place to eat and stumbled upon Bella Verona and WOW was I impressed! Coming from Chicago, I've eaten plenty of Italian food around the city. So many places looking similar, pictures of the family and ownership with random celebrities. All kinds of decorations, the works. But no Italian food restaurant had the quality food of Bella Verona. Bella Verona had the absolute best Italian food I ever had! Most deliciously seasoned, perfectly cooked dish. So lucky to have landed here, I couldn't stop telling my girlfriend how happy I was we ended up there for dinner, I left very satisfied and if I come back to Salem, this restaurant is a must!
