We pulled off looking for a place to eat as we drove through Essex, looked up from our phones and saw this gem sitting in front of us. Straight in, ordered quick, food came fast. We had a large bowl of clam chowder which we shared. Plenty of meat and potatoes along with good flavor. Then we each had the Haddock Sandwich with fries. Very good and fresh! Will return!

My fiancé and I went today for the first time. WOW. Our server Brett was one of the best. They are lucky to have such an attentive and kind employee. The food was to die for, clams were so fresh. We cannot wait to go back.

The food is very good. Great burgers and fried fish. You do get enough for 2 meals. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. I've been eating outside because the weather has been so nice. You're encased in a little garden. It's very peaceful and enjoyable. I highly recommend it! ❤

I was there last night for my son’s birthday. The food was delicious, the service impeccable and the drink menu extensive. If you have never been there in the evening the grounds are all lit up and it is beautiful. I’m gluten and dairy free and they were able to accommodate me no problem.

They take temperatures at the door with a laser thermometer and have social distance spaces set aside . Very professional and safe
Lunch starts every day starting at 11:30. The easiest way to travel to Village Restaurant from Peabody is to take 128 N to exit 15. Bear left toward Essex off of the exit and follow the road all the way to the end. At the stop sign turn left and about a half of a mile up the hill to the left is Village Restaurant!
No, its a hundred twenty five yards from the Essex River. Don't miss their fried clams and onion rings. The Absolute best!
The land may be taken by eminent domain. It will be a while. They want to put a fire station there.
The Town of Essex is exploring the possibility of purchasing the Village property as a future site for a new fire station. The decision to due so would ultimately be up to the residents of Essex at an annual Town Meeting. Regardless of the decision, this is a long term project and we are not going away any time soon. We are absolutely open for business, as usual. Come on down.
