Very dissatisfied with AARP. My husband was injured at work a few years ago and then then his plant closed. He went here for assistance and after filling out all the paper work he was told they could not help him because I have a income of $30k. So we don't qualify for assistance health insurance, can't afford Obama care....but we are members of AARP . Really, I am more than discouraged and wonder why I even renewed last year.

I went to the legal aid office, a woman attended me, she was like nervous a lot. She not even look straight to my face, she was acting like she was hidding something for me. I advice you, if you are hispanic do not go over there, because her, look really racist

AARP is a nonprofit organization for Americans nearing the age of retirement. Members receive discounts on everything from healthcare and travel to financial services, shopping and entertainment. The group also provides advice on careers, care-giving and other topics important to people 50 and over. AARP Foundation's Back to Work 50+ program, SCSEP, prepares older poverty level workers for better jobs by assisting with job training, career counseling and networking.
