Unfortunately, no it can not. The fabric know as sling has a plastic spine sewn into the sides. The spline must have a sling rail (slotted aluminum tubing) to be installed into. With vinyl strapping it is just wrapped around tubular frames. They do not have the slots for the slings to slide into. I hope this helps.

A & K has all colors of vinyl strapping. You have to visit them and ask. I know they refurbish old patio furniture to look like new.
