A lot of hype here, PR attempts to disguise the stupidity and wasteful budget choices from the top, but the simple facts are that individuals can not get the care they need, consumers and their support family have painful long wait lists because the money is not spent wisely, wasteful, too many State jobs in budget, vs investment in the actual people that provide the actual care. DODD has turned a blind eye for many years, did not listen, did not act, and everyone is feeling the consequences from their gross handling of the budget for at least the past eight years. Many testimonies, many letters of concern that the care staff wages are grossly unacceptable and if people can make more driving pizza to houses, passing out food samples on a cushy mat in the grocery store, serving burgers and fries earning more livable wage than caring for high special IDD & multiple dual diagnosis special needs, it is absolutely disgusting! Furthermore, On Site on Call service code is a tragedy for the IDD community. Grossly negligent reimbursement rate puts those that need 24/7 in home care at high risk. Most care staff that work that service code do not have reliable cars, live in battered women shelters, homeless shelters, are food/ nutrition deprived, yet, they are supposed to wake up and magic pixy dust pass medication correctly, dress, hygiene, appropriate breakfast, have people skills to diffuse dual diagnosis behaviors, yet 80% of their shift is at under $10 a hour. Absolute insanity pre-pandemic, now just a tragedy of shear stupidity and cluelessness at DODD. Breaking point dam has broken and we are drowning from bad decision after bad decision. It is very hard to deal with DODD lack of competency, life threatening bad decisions start from DODD and the effect trickles down all through the broken system. They lost their way of aiding in serving the people they represent. SHAME ON DODD.

My son stayed at the Dodd for rehab and therapy. The Doctors, nurses and overall staff were AMAZING. They treated my son with dignity and respect throughout his stay as well as keeping us as a family totally informed on what was happening and how he was responding. I would recommend this Facility to anyone needing this type of care. I just only wish that he could have continued to stay at this facility unfortunately his insurance ran out.
