Tremendous with a wide range of seat prices. I was between choosing the wing on the orchestra level, or center in the Dress Circle, and glad I went with the elevated area (for the nutcracker). Great view, same price, maybe less acoustically …

The Opera House is stunning. SF Ballet performed a stunningly magical Nutcracker. Highly recommend for all ages.

There are some incredible performances at the opera house. We saw the Nutcracker and everything was very well done. I was especially impressed by the orchestra and the passion of the conductor. You can buy drinks and snacks to enjoy during the show. It's also conveniently locating near some great restaurants.

Yes, or a negative COVID test.
It's fun to dress up but you don't have to. These days anything goes.
No. The S.F. Ballet will not perform until March 15.
We went there to see Shen Yun, and when we were reserving our tickets, paid additional fee for buffet style dinner.
10 am until 6 during Opera season and until the Opera begins on day of performances.
If it's an indoor performance I doubt they would cancel it
Kind of up to you -- there's a variety but the rule is no blue jeans. Dressing up can be cool though just for fun :) Hope you enjoy the performance!
I just checked and the ticket says to print it in several places. There is no mention of using it on your phone.
5 to 7 is a great age range for the first time. I grew up going every year starting at about five years old. Happy memories.
Civic center is the closest station. I don't think it is more than 10 minutes.
There are now almost 100 auto burglaries per day. Last year the State reduced this crime from a felony to a misdemeanor and there is zero effort to catch these thieves. Probably a majority of the perpetrators are "homeless" drug addicts and local government doesn't care.
