Clean grounds and facilities. Hosts/rangers were super friendly and helpful. Sites are pretty small and close together, but no one was a problem. My only complaint is that CA State Parks don't have more first come, first serve, or allow it to be reserved earlier than 1400 the day of. This results in majority of the spots being "reserved", but no one ever actually shows up, then you're waiting around until 1400 when you want a spot.

It was perfect for two people, we had the first camp site. There was plenty of room for our tent and chairs. They provide a bear locker and picnic table. All you really need to enjoy your stay. Our neighbors were great, they are quite close, but that's just how campsites are. I've seen many people talk about the highway noise, but it was only loud every once in a while when the loud cars went by. At night though the campsite was so quiet, and if there was anything from the highway we slept through it. I saw a lot of families there. It looked like they just got two sites for larger gatherings. If you're staying for a while and need to use the showers make sure to bring quarters. The bathrooms were always stocked so that was nice too. It was also close to a market nearby and close to all of the other Red wood attractions and parks. It was a much needed stay, we loved it!

Very secluded camping up near the top of the campgrounds. Very unique design to the grounds. Everything was very clean; however the road is a bit rough to say the least

Incredible! We got unlucky with weather. It rained ☔️But luckily we were prepared. The camp was clean and not too noisey. The camp has some strict rules which resulted is us getting a written warning. we needed to build a rain shelter and tie to the trees and we didn’t have protection on the trees. Oops. Will think about that next time.

You have to put in Humboldt Redwood State Park
There is is a closeby local restaurant, groceries, coffee shop, gas station along the Avenue of the Giants.. you'll find your self in a mile.
There is access to a river beach right across the road from the campground. For the ocean, it's about 45 minutes going north on 101 to Eureka...
On reserveamerica.com. HOWEVER, they do have walk in service available at 2:00 every day. I would not suggest a unit over 20 feet....
They aren't open right now,but from the spots I've seen,I believe so.
No, It's closed right now for camping.
Yes, cash or check only and it is 8 or 9 dollars.
They have several ADA sites you just need to show your placard. Yes it is open year round.
Their are lil springs in the camp ground.... Its beautiful. Located on the side of a mountain. Eel River is across the road.
They have bear lockers, no lock is required. We have never seen a bear on our visits.
30 a night possible might have changed
Hidden springs is open year round check the website. https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=425
I am billed at $35 per day.
You CAN take a RV in there, but be aware that the whole thing sits on a hillside and they made us drive through the campground and back to the kiosk to pick out a site and see then if it was available. (NOT THE NORM IN MOST CAMPGROUNDS) I would not do it in a larger RV
Yes tents are allowed.
