Beacon DMV was a stress free experience. No long wait. The Clerk was very friendly n professional. I left some documents home n she let me run home and get them and come back!

I can not say enough about the service and the people. Friendly, helpful and patient.
Yes, you have to go online n make an appt. But it's not really busy in there. I made an appt at 10:30am on a Tuesday. I was getting an Enhanced Driver's license. You should be in & out depending on what you need.
There is also limited hrs and when you get there you have to call the number posted on the door to be let in by security and have to wear a mask sanitize your hands and more than likely have your temperature taken with a no touch.. standard procedure
Can you go in person, walk in. ?

Nah, the Beacon DMV is closed....but there is a number on the door to call and make an appt for the Poughkeepsie location...

What do I need to change a DL from one state to NY? How many articles to prove address in Ny? S.S? Old id.? Any taxes? Whats the normal under normal circumstances?

Old id.. ss card.. proof of new address. Ie.. utility bill, lease, etc.. if that's a problem apply for a credit card and have it mailed to a local address you have access to and use that rejection or acceptance letter as proof of residence. Pretty sure that should do. Pass ports are always helpful and birth certificate is usually the norm
