We stayed at campsite 411 in late June. In general it was great experience! It’s close to bay area, and the campsites are well-maintained. Every site comes with picnic table and fire pit, and the redwoods surrounding the campsite are shady. Restroom with flush toilets is nearby. In addition, 411 is not too close to neighboring sites so there is decent privacy. The trail system around tan oak is great. We took a walk after dinner and it was just awesome and not crowded at all. One minor cons would be there were many mosquitoes. Not sure if they only show up in summer. We will definitely be back again.

One of my favorite country parks to can camp at. Clean facilities, great hiking, and I love the archery range. Always a good time.

Beautiful place to camp during the off season. I still give it five stars but I wouldn't visit during the summer I image it very crowded. My little buddy norm the gnome loved it.

Love this campground. Lots of trees, never gets excessively hot, clean bathrooms and free showers. Lots of hiking trails and so close to the Bay Area. A great getaway.

Yes, I went about 2 weeks ago and it said low fire hazard
I do not think that would work. You have to make reservations by calling or online. They hire people for handyman services. If i were you and you are looking for a place to stay on your van, you might want to try small rv parks. That are not run by county or state.
