Front desk staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the ice rink was reasonably priced and not too packed. I can definitely see this becoming my home rink despite living nearer to Medstar.

We love coming here for our daughters swimming lessons. Bathrooms are clean and staff is quite nice.

Very calm and clean rec center. The swimming facility is older but things are clean and organized. I really liked my sons swim instructor. She managed the kids very well and was very encouraging and structured.

I would call first, they just recently adjusted the open skate times for Spring.
The park authority make its own call (previously followed school closings). RECenters will open at 10AM according to: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/. If you're heading out later than that and want to be sure, give them a call before you go.
