I don’t even know how to begin I only have one word. Lawsuit. I’m so done with the people in here for the most part they are all spinners.

Mr. Taylor the director is very rude and inconsiderate for employees who are trying to make a living and work. He will force shifts on you and management provides unsafe situations for staff. There is no security at these facilities and if something happens management turn there phones off and will not answer:

The internship is one of your best options at covenant house. It’s a life saver when you don’t got a job. It’s also intuitively helpful.

This organization primarily provides support to single youth ages 18-24. One of the programs provides housing to pregnant or parenting teens 16-22 with one child.
Unfortunately our Housing programs are for homeless youth between the ages of 18 and 24. But we never turn anyone away from knowing about other resources in the community. We have a public food pantry if you're looking for food but if you're looking for other services I recommend the Non-Profit organization Martha's Table or Virginia-Williams. I hope this helps!

A good way would be to take the Green line metro train to southern Avenue station and walk down the hill from the station to Mississippi Avenue and 21st street. Another way is to Catch the W1, W2, or W3 and get off in front of the service center. As far as gay friendly... the intake staff is but as far as the residents, not so much. Some are and others are not. If you choose to, you will be placed to sleep with the girls. Hope this helps.

I'm not gonna make you any guarantees but they may be able to help with a letter of recommendation for another but they don't have the immediate resources best of 🍀 luck 💯💔
Covenant House Greater Washington is not affiliated with a specific church or denomination. We are supported by many individuals and faith based organizations whose mission is to support youth in need. Covenant House was originally founded in NY by a group of Franciscan sisters. The organization is based on the tenets of Immediacy - immediately meeting needs; Sanctuary - a safe haven from danger; Structure - guidance and support with care and respect; and Choice - helping youth build the confidence to make smart choices that moves them towards stability.

We do not have childcare, but partner with other quality childcare providers at the ARC and nearby in the community.
