They would need a guest pass unless you got a family membership which is not covered with your silver sneaker membership. They have a child care area for them to hang out at certain times each day. The 10 yr old could be with you on the wellness floor but that's the youngest unless attending a class or program like camp, group exercise class or youth sports.

Yes the Y is open on Christmas Eve. Hours are 5am-4pm.

Not at this YMCA or any in the DC area. Next to this Y there is an extended stay hotel. Other major metropolitan ymcas may have residential stay like Chicago.

I don't think you can use any of the facilities as a walk in. You need to be a member of a YMCA, either Reston or elsewhere.
