You know I can see alot of BAD REVIEWS.. & those people are from ah DIFFERENT COUNTRIES.. by there names... Now from an American..SSA Always has been. ALWAYS will be a place where services mayb hard to get. Because there's 1000 & 1000 of people they needs.. I'm one of them.... I stood in line outside twice about an hour. No COMPLAINTS HERE..The staff was very nice & helpful..For those of u have complaintsGO BACK 2 YOUR OWN COUNTRY. THE LINES WILL BE ALOT SHORTER. I seen more of YALL THEN US.. BYEEEEEEEE!!!!

This place is horrible. Everyone is so busy eating there chipotle that i was on hold for at least 20 minutes. I already know where its heading and refuse to sit there any longer. I had to yell at my phone for a human being because the machine couldn't understand me otherwise. I will have to show up in person and see what everyone was so busy doing they couldn't even accept my call. I've already filed for a replacement card twice, and they still haven't updated my address so now all i simply need to do is update my address and get my replacement card. I mean these guys are playing games or what. I have my ss number memorized and all you have to do is update and mail me the card but better yet im gonna have to show up in person and hope that they don't say wait another 30 days or that i need to do a new application. Ridiculous man. 7-10 days is what u claim but its been 2 months. Good job. Bravo

Take an appointment on phone before you go, and check in before you arrive so that you don't waste a lot of time waiting. To apply for a new SSN, you should not take more than 15 minutes once you're inside and have all required documents. Parking and restroom available. Difficult to get to an officer on phone and call often gets disconnected after long wait time. But I was able to speak to helpful staff on call as well as at the office.

You have to come in the local SSA office and fill out a form or you can have the form mailed to you. If you have a computer you can order a replacement SSA card thru my ssa benefits

I would go on their website and I believe you print out a SS-5 form. I believe you have the instructions on the form of what proof you need to submit along with. I've gotten everything and mailed it in to the social security office in DC along with a note asking them to contact me if they need anything else.
They only give appointments if you have a an emergency case, like having a job offer and not being able to start without the SSN. But you will have to set up the appointment by phone.

This makes no sense. That is why I want to have an appointment to go over. We already pay hefty monthly for supplemental which includes Part D. It totally covers prescription drug. Cannot be covered doubly - it makes no sense. The charge for Part D should NOT be taken away from monthly benefit year 2018. Both spouse and I are on Medicare from 2011, our seventh year now.
