I have contacted RA about the lights at the pool areas. The lights are always on during the day and it’s such a waste of electricity. RA did not do anything about it, the people, who work there, don’t care.

While RA certainly has its fair share of issues (and believe me, there have been many times I've been frustrated by them) today I had an employee go above and beyond for me. Michelle Rouhi, from the covenants division, answered her phone during her lunch break, showed immediate compassion and interest in my situation and followed-up promptly with a letter that allows me to close on the sale of my home tomorrow. All of this in spite of my home being under the jurisdiction of another advisor that told me he would be in the office even though he had been scheduled for vacation. I feel its important to share the good news just as much as the bad and there are a lot of good, hard working people at the RA and Michelle is certainly one of them! Thank you Michelle.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Reston Association headquarters offices are open by appointment only from 8:30 a.m-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Hours for Member Services are extended at the start of the summer season to include Saturday mornings.
Yes. Reston Association's drop box is located outside the main (back) entrance; the one closest to the RA Visitor parking area.
RA maintains 55 miles of pathways throughout Reston. Sidewalks are maintained by clusters if they are alongside cluster roads or VDOT if they are along main, state-controlled roads.

Gray property markers are used to mark the property line between private homeowner property and the open space that is owned by everyone in Reston. Older posts are concrete and have a single blue “r” on them. Newer ones have “RA” or a plaque that says “RA Property Marker.”

I think many people are blowing this out of proportion. The guy said awful, terrible and disgustingly rascist slurs, but that had nothing to do with Reston Association. He was a former employee 3 years for like 3 months and happened to be wearing a RA shirt. I am not an employee here, but I think it's unfair that they are underfire for something that is out of their control. For all we know, while working there, the guy super hid his racist views. At first glance, yes, this looks really bad for RA, but they issued a statement and everything saying they do not support their former employee's racist views and he was fired like 3 years ago. Anyway, that's just my opinion and what I thought of the incident.
How do you take "action" against an actual former employee?

He doesn't work there anymore. He hasn't for 3 years. RA has already addressed this. Do some research. And no, this is not typical of Reston.
