Have not personally been there, but...I have met the owner of the home and property and she is really nice. I have heard they have many birds, parrot mostly. I own property in Corkscrew Island, it is a beautiful area with much Florida wildlife and people who possess a cornucopia of knowledge of the area.

There is no fee to enter, you can give a donation after the tour. They have a donation bin at the end. Bring nuts just NO peanuts for the walk in aviary you make more friends that way 😉
Yes you can adopt birds there. Please go to the website for more information.
Yes , we have groups in to do work you can reach me at 813 8411911
Please call Keri and ask her their number is on the web page
Yes they do You can call for more information
I called in the afternoon on a Thursday and got booked for the following day. I think they are busy with tours on the weekend so might not be able to answer phones. it's a nonprofit with volunteers.
If the bird sanctuary cannot take them in, check with Billie Swamp Safari. They have a huge cage (walk in) where they would have tons of room to fly and greet visitors. Visitors get to hand feed them.
A bird's feathers are constantly growing, much like your hair or your fingernails.
Yes they do adoption for all types of birds
Any parrot can talk if u teach it
About 90 minutes. If you go for the morning session, you will have an opportunity to handle and feed birds after the tour. If you go for the afternoon session, arrive early so that you can handle and feed some of the exotic birds Just remember to take raw nuts only (pecans, walnuts etc, no peanuts) if you want to feed any of the birds.
They have birds for adoption but I do not know which. You will have to go in person to see which one you would like to adopt. Call it
we do not have any parakeets at this time , feel free to check back from time to time .
You would need to call Keri her number is on their web page. They often get smaller birds that need homes too. Good luck
Kerrie Is Awesome! She is super great with the birds. I got my 3 birds from her and she will pet sit for me also if I need to go out of town. She has great volunteers who help her.
Yes, Keri does take rescues.
Kerri is fantastic with birds and sometimes other animals
Yep, Neil's right. Also, the people and volunteers there are extremely kind and helpful. The paths through the gardens are wide and fairly smooth. Your scooter will be able to get right up to most of the birds in their enclosures.
We where down there 2 days ago the birds are fine there was Alot of tree damage that we all where cleaning up
