Dr. W listened attentively and asked questions, explained what the results showed and prescribed medication as needed. The wait time wasn't long. I was very satisfied with my experience at Medstar.

Longest wait time and bad overall experience. I am scheduled for an out patient medical procedure that requires a basic physical. About a week before my procedure, I get a call from a MEDSTAR person stating she was from the anesthesia dep't and wants to pre register me. Then she starts to ask some very offensive and personal questions..."what is your nationality?" "What is your race?" "What is your religious preference?" I inquire "What does all that have to do with my procedure?" I did not answer her. I double check my caller ID & it does say MEDSTAR. Since when does MEDSTAR started calling & harassing people at home? Then, I go to the Urgent care in Towson @ Anneslie for my physical. I get there 8:45A. No one in waiting room. Five people come in. One is an emergency patient & is taken ahead of me. Then the others. I sit and wait and wait and wait for 3.5 hours. In the mean time, I inquire at the front desk about giving a urine sample. I am told a sample in not needed. Finally I am called. The physical was short.. blood work, EKG. exam and I am done...four (4) hours later. That is the longest wait I have ever had in a medical facility. I came home and I get a call from Urgent Care. Now they need a urine sample. I was there for four hours. They took my blood, had the doctors orders in front of them not to mention that I inquired at the front desk and they still missed it. And here I go making another trip to give a urine sample. Lo & behold, I get another phone call to tell me that the blood in the tube for coagulation testing in clotted. This woman tells me that the anesthesia dep't may require the test for joint replacement. What? I am NOT, NOT having a joint replacement. Does she have the right patient? VERY SCARRY AND CONCERNING! The place is totally disorganized. Not to mention the laboriously long hours of wait time. What a waist. Getting a basic pre op physical for an out patient procedure turned into a mind boggling fiasco. MedStar needs to educate and train their employees properly. They could also use some organization skills I do NOT recommend that facility.

He should go to the emergency room. He can go to urgent care, however if it's severe they may send him to the ER anyway.
