I wanted to like Havre de Grace's first nano brewery, but after a flight of beers whose descriptions sounded better than they tasted, there was really nothing left to do but leave disappointed. From their Baltic Porter to Mild English and Double IPA, these beers were flavor-starved and washed out. In the rush to put as many local breweries on the map, I fear we are sacrificing quantity for quality. I wish them luck in the future, but it would take a lot for me to come back.

Great little spot in town, we’ll definitely be back! Would recommend the Rise to the Top cream ale if beer isn’t your thing like me. Had a great time on opening day!Thanks for coming out and supporting us on our opening day!

Kevin and Kyle have put a ton of work into the brewery and the results are fantastic. The beer is great, and the IPA is my favorite of all the County breweries. Havre de Grace has a lot of great things happening, and Battery Island Brewing couldn't have come to town at a better time. Congrats guys!
