We’ve used this gym for years. It has all the equipment and facilities you could want and it’s all clean and kept in good repair (besides the jacuzzi which is out of service almost as much as it’s in service). Locker rooms and clean and nice. Tons of equipment. Group classes. We mostly go for the pool and unfortunately we have run into a bit of an issue there. They allow people to reserve a lane in advance but in no way publicize which lanes are reserved and have no real method of determining who loses a lane when one is reserved and they’re all full. Twice recently they’ve literally just kicked everyone out of the pool because one lane was reserved and they didn’t know how to pick who should have to give theirs up. We swim a lot but we also run and bike and have full time jobs so we can’t necessarily say exactly when we’re going to swim to be able to reserve a lane. And it’s never been an issue until just the last month or so- everyone always just went with first come first serve and at worst you waited a few minutes for someone to finish. Wish they would go back to this.

I have been a member of the gym for a long time now and have to say that it's not very good. I will most certainly be canceling my membership in the future. I don’t know what management's problem is, but it's like they enjoy irritating members. I say management, because the staff blames things on the managers, which they're probably being honest. They sold me unlimited guest privileges when I joined. However, they require reoccurring guests to fill out a form each and every time and apparently are going to start asking for ID's. A bit excessive. Just get an electronic system for guests, like Planet Fitness has. It's really about them having guests information so that they can solicit. It's 2022, there is no reason to kill trees in order to collect contact information. Bad management. With so many machines scheduled for service, perhaps the GM at this location should be focusing on their existing members instead of irritating "could be" members. Fix your gym and clean it. The pool area specifically is filthy. It's also way too warm in the gym. I understand that AC is expensive, but people are working out. Feels way too warm most of the time. Hours are also not great. Fridays, it closes at 9pm. Even earlier on weekends. It'll say a lot next year when I'm driving past this gym to get to another one further down the road. I completely blame this gym's management for my dissatisfaction. The staff is mostly good, but feels the pressure put on them by bad managers. The gym could be good again if it's properly cleaned, maintained and the management starts treating staff, members and their guests with respect. There's a lot of variety and potential, but they need the right people in charge to capitalize on that. As of now though, their priorities are wrong and because of that, I will no longer recommend Esporta Fitness in Sanford.

The staff was kind and helpful. It was so loud that I had a hard time understanding what they were saying though and it's close to my home. 😉

It is literally the hardest thing to cancel I can imagine. I've called the location several times, called corporate twice, and then came in. Everytime they tell me I have cancel via phone if im there, in person if im on the phone, specific hours I work. It's crazy. I literally have to cancel my debit card to cancel this membership.
