Amazing little park. Hidden gem. Great history, great views.

This is one of the nicest state parks we've been to. The grounds are immaculate and the bathrooms are very clean. They have a nice, clean playground for the kids and mini golf. The snack bar has the best corn dogs I've ever had, the breading is made from scratch. The museum was $5 per adult and $4 for children and even my 9 year old was interested in hearing about the history. Beautiful place, will definitely be back!

A tad remote, but oh so beautiful and well worth the drive. The campground and the park grounds were both impeccably kept, making our walks pleasurable. Sweeping views of the Mississippi from the top of the hill (museum and picnic area), or from the back of a couple of sites in the campground. I didn't stop into the museum, but did enjoy an early evening and early morning walk along the Civil War and Nature Trails. Unique, in that you are walking among and through the earthworks. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

This is one of the most beautiful parks in the area. I have loved going here since I was a child. Very historic.

Dogs on a leash, but is dogs friendly. Nice little park to visit with family and friends, for get togethers.
Some of the sites do, but some of them don't. We were in 3 and 4 with no sewage hookups, but the ones on the back side of the loop did...or so I think.
Many different sizes
No
Concession does close but I'm not sure when I think you can get their number online
