Clean office, friendly and helpful staff, and I’ve never waited more than 5-8 minutes to be called. Defying the stereotype that the DMV carries, for sure! Keep up the great work!

The office in Tavares off of David Walker Boulevard. Was one of the cleanest tax collectors office I have been to in a long time. Everyone was very cordial. Ray helped Me with my disabled tag and was very helpful and knowledgeable. In my profession I work with tax collectors offices for many years and this one just was amazing.

Before you make appointment you might want to call first to see what other documents or ID you will need to bring depending upon what type of title you misplaced.
I would think you could send a check by mail for your renewal. I just sent a check by mail for my property taxes. I notice there was a surcharge if you pay online with a credit card. You can also pay by check online, but too much time to fill out. So I sent check by mail. You might want to call to double check.🙂
Hello, trailers don't carry insurance, so keeping that plate would not suspend your license. In most cases once the insurance is dropped on a vehicle due to sale but the plate is not surrendered, it flags the state as a vehicle without insurance. This would not be the case with a trailer plate.
Appointments can be made by calling 352-343-9602.
The only trailer not requiring a tag is a car dolly and even then, the car on the dolly must be tagged.
Traffic violations are to be paid at the clerk of courts ofice located in the courthouse.
