Took this tour today with a private tour group. We occupied all 3 of their boats. All of the boat Captains did a phenomenal job giving us the history of the Canals and pointing out the various wildlife living there. It was a great morning on Lake Dora and we highly recommend Premier Boat Tours

On Sunday Sept 4th 2022, my fiancé and I spent an amazing time with Capt Johnathan and First Mate Donna. They were extremely helpful assisting my fiancé onboard with her wheelchair. The entire trip was very well done and we saw exactly what they said we would see. 3 gators, 4 bald eagles, turtles and countless breeds of birds. The humor and information was accurate and fun. Definitely would recommend for everyone.

It was a great experience with Captain Jon and First Mate Donna while they took us on a guided tour and showed us the great wildlife and the canal! Worth the 2 hour ride and the Captain let my daughter take the wheel for a bit on the way back! Highly recommend!

We allow small dogs onboard (up to 30 lbs) They must be on a leash or in a pet carrier. Thy must not interfere with the tour or other customer. If you book a Private Tour, you can bring larger dogs.

Yes to all. Obviously you are sharing a boat, unless you book a private tour. Best to bring cup cakes, so you don’t have to cut the cake. Non breakable drinking glasses are needed.

You can make a reservation as far in advance as you want to, but do make a reservation, because seating on each boat is limited by Coast Guard regulations and we also need a minimum number of people to send a tour out. If no one is reserved a captain will not be sent to the boat. Call and reserve as soon as you know you definitely want to go so as not to be disappointed.

Every time of year has different reasons to do a tour on the lake and Dora Canal: Early spring has abundant birdlife and alligator sightings. Spring has more nesting birds (Bald Eagles and Herons) and lots of gator sightings. Summer is great viewing for water birds and alligators (Sometimes baby gators) the afternoons have a higher chance of thunderstorms. Fall has abundant birdlife and alligator sightings. Winter has lots of birdlife, but less abundant for spotting gators (Still see them, just not as many) The Dora Canal is great at any time of year.
