The clothes are a great material, super soft. And I love the graphics! Wide variety of shoes, I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for and left with a few pairs. Jose helped me pick the right size laces for my old converse. The staff was super helpful. Highly recommended!

I was looking for a pair of white Vans and no one within 50 miles had any, and I needed them quickly. They had them in stock, set them aside for me to pick up later in the day and the transaction was super smooth. Will definitely be going back!

We were visiting Santa Cruz last week and somehow, my running shoes I'd left on the porch to be loaded never made it (mom always gets "burnt toast"). After 1 day of walking everywhere - including the Boardwalk - in flip flops, I was a dead woman. I Googled "converse" (which would have been fine) and found this store. Once online, I saw that they had a slew of other brands too including Onitsuka Tigers and On running shoes – all great options. I worried about inventory volume but my husband and I headed on in. It's Summer, they were busy, but once a gentleman freed up, he kindly assisted me. What surprised me most about this store was the array of great brands - tons of options with *deep* inventories (kind of amazing for a local shoe store)! The prices were completely fair too based on my experience. I'm a lifetime Asics wearer, and every shoe I liked they had in my size (I tried on 3 pair), and I bought my first choice. This is a GREAT store! Lots of interesting and snazzy shoe options, way better inventory (in terms of size availability) than I expected, tons to see (laces, socks, stickers), and I thought great, knowledgeable and generous service. What more can you ask for?! Thanks for the great new running shoes that saved my trip to Santa Cruz, Old School!!

Went in tonight looking for a pair of sandals and they actually had exactly what I wanted. However, neither associate would acknowledge me and one seemed more interested in grabbing a gumball from their machine. When I did ask about sizing they acted as though it was an inconvenience and offered no further assistance so I walked out. My husband enjoyed their socks and I was fully prepared to buy a pair of teavas but I guess their conversation was more important 🤷‍♀️ I'll head to another local small business and support them instead.
