Lillian’s is the best. Top notch service, beautiful renovated building and excellent food. The Sunday Gravy and fish of the day with risotto are my favorites. I had the halibut last night which was outstanding. The kids love it here too, they have a good kids menu with crayons and games. Wine list is decent and a full bar. Located on Seabright and Soquel it’s also a nice location to bounce to othe activities nearby. Solid 5 stars for our favorite place in Santa Cruz county.

Yes I would recommend making a reservation for a group but the wait is not very long, for how good the food is, if you happen to not make the reservation and just show up. But yes it's a choice you can make and if your going on a date or family gathering I'd recommend it. Reservations are available and recommended for the most part although not completely necessary depending on the situation.
