Not sure they really want to sell cars. Before you go to even look at cars, make sure you have an appointment- and don’t go expecting anything to happen on a Friday evening 30 minutes before they close. I arrived at 5:30 on a Friday night (they close at 6). I knew the car I wanted to test drive, I had my car cleaned out, title in hand, ready to make a deal. I was told that because I didn’t have an appointment I couldn’t test drive the car. I asked if I could at least look inside. This I could do. When looking in the car the salesman said, well… if you want you can drive it. I said no. It seemed like an imposition- and truely I had already driven a similar car at another dealership, they just didn’t have the extras this one did. And when that dealership asked to buy that particular car from them-they refused. I asked if they could give me an estimate on what my trade (that I drove there) would be worth. Oh yeah- there’s no one there for that at that time either. I was told there was only 3 salesmen in the shop. Not sure why they were even open last 5:30 if you can’t test drive cars or potentially make a sale. So I set up an appointment for three days later (bc I was busy the next two days). I had to cancel my appointment because I was being tested for Covid. Left a message with the dealership and texted my salesman. I also asked if he had any idea on what they would give me for my car (he had taken down the VIN and mileage on Friday) No response from either the dealership or him. At the end of the day, I texted again- any news? He briefly got back to me and said he had to talk to the owner. That was four days ago. I remember a time when car salesman would stay past closing to close a deal…they haven’t even asked me to come back. (And it’s not like I have a lemon to trade- it’s a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe- calligraphy model - a $45,000 car). Just know you need an appointment and you may need to hassle them if you want to buy their cars.
