If you have any other option for medical care go somewhere else! This place is understaffed and overworked You will be incredibly frustrated and treated terribly while you're trying to get healthcare
Ruth Parker
I haven't actually seen a real doctor in over 5 years. They've shuffled me off to a pharmacist. I only go for check ups for my diabetes, but I would love to talk to a real doctor.
Pamela Trussell
Do not work here!! Not a great place to work!! The place in the pharmacy is pretty much racist and shows favoritism. I was only there for a short time and said that I had something that I didn’t. It was horrible!! Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in my life!!
Shana Mebane
Everytime, I have went there. I, Have Always had a pleasant visit. Everyone, Is Always Helpful and Polite.

It's provided here free of charge.
Yes definitely... I see one myself. I think some are free too. Actually I have an appointment on Monday that I am not going to be able to make so if you go in there and Ask for the earliest appointment you might get it
Hi Alex, Yes we do FTM hormone therapy. You need to make an appointment and bring proof of income to your first appointment. Here is a link to setting up an appointment and to the forms you need. https://kccare.org/patients/become-a-patient/
The xchnage hours are from 10am-4:45pm M-F and yes you can just walk in, no appt necessary. They are now located in the basement and you go through the door around the back of the bldg by the garage.
No sir, I believe it's Monday thru Friday
There is a lot in the back & patients can park there. Just go through the garage & go to the first floor to the clinic.
Thank you for your question. Yes, the hours are as follows: Monday: 9 AM- 7:30 PM Tuesday-Friday: 9 AM- 4:45 PM
Hi Jeanne, thank you for your question. I think the easiest way to answer it is to direct you to our website KCCare.org where we have information about our services and sliding fee structure. If you would like to speak with someone directly please call 816.753.5144 and we would be happy to discuss options that will work for you.
No they don't turn anyone away just make an appointment and see, if they don't they can help you find the resource
They have walk in clinics on specific days and times. Same day appointments are few and far between but they will certainly do what they can to help. They have a great staff and an amazing team of clinicians!
Yes. They did it for me. They start you an account. When I went a year ago they only charged me $10 for the visit and let me pay for it later! Plus, the entire staff is so friendly and the facility is clean and neat! I was highly satisfied!
Yes they do, & they have a sliding scale fee depending on your income. They have walk in clinic but I'm not sure the time.
Yes at Research Medical
Call 753-5144 to check
THEIR HOURS OF OPERATION ARE MON.- FRI. OPEN @ 8AM.- 4:30PM. CLOSE EARLY SOME DAYS JUST KINDA HIT OR MISS JFYI.
Yes only in mornings though
Yes
I know they have walk in clinic times, depending on the location. I agree with Melinda......the best thing to do is call and find out the times. I do know that some of the STD tests are free, due to grants.....
Please call 753-5144 for that information as it varies by location
Walk in start at 7:30 a.m. at the research location And 1 at the Broadway
Thomas Campbell is an excellent therapist that is on staff with KC Care Clinic
Not sure. Call and ask the pharmacy on Monday
They have some walk-in appointments available daily starting at 1:00
The latest I've ever is 5:00
Not at the midtown location, but Research location on Meyer Blvd has dental care.
E.R. is probably what they'll tell you. Sorry.
You need to go to the clinic & may need to see either a doctor or nurse practitioner. You may also need a copy of your police report depending on how much there was in bottle. It CANNOT be done by phone
I believe everything is baced off of your income!!
At there Research locations
You have to fill out paperwork. My appointments were $15 a visit. UhYou'll have to ask on the prescriptions and a1c. But they are very reasonable.
Jonathan answered correctly and thoroughly.
Not long at all. But Its first come first serve, so try to get there 30 mins before walk in check in
HIV testing is free Monday through Friday
They do have someone to help but NOT at that location. You can also go to Truman but I would call their office and get the address for the dentist. If nothing else... use clove oil it will kill the nerve it's at CVS cheap
You will have to register with them to verify income for service and it is income base also dentistry work is at done threw Research Medical Center they have offices there to. But The dental school can help also.
No, you need a local address. Sorry. When I applied there I had to have a local address with current mail such as a utility bill and a valid state issued photo id
KC care works on a sliding scale. They will evaluate ya and figure it out. I think they charge like 10 bucks at minimum.
Hi Gina, are you referring to a TB Test?
Demetrius, thank you for your question. Yes, we have doctors at our three locations, Midtown; 3515 Broadway; Northeast: 4601 Independence Ave; Research 2340 E. Meyer Boulevard Building 1 - suite 200. You can always visit our website www.kccare.org for more information about our services.
Thank you for your question regarding a charge for consultation. If you have health insurance, your normal co-pay and deductible will apply. If you do not have health insurance (like 60% of our patients), we use a sliding scale based on income and household size to determine your cost per visit. Those fees are found at kccare.org in the Paying for Your Care page in the Patients section of the website (https://kccare.org/patients/paying-for-your-care/). KC CARE gladly accepts Medicaid, Medicare and privately insured patients without compromising our commitment to those who are uninsured. Patients are never turned away regardless of their ability to pay. KC CARE offers the services of trained, on-site Financial Counselors who can help you navigate the lowest costs possible and create an affordable payment plan. To speak with a Financial Counselor, please call 816.777.2703.
There is dental at our Research location. 2340 E. Meyer Blvd suite 200. They are not taking any new dental patients as of now. We do not have fetal services at any of our locations. We have a GYN but we do not see pregnant women.
Yes we do. You can walk into any of our three locations, if you have insurance your company will be billed. If you do not have insurance the cost is $20. Visit our website www.kccare.org for the location closest to you.
Hi Jason, KC CARE Midtown is open on Saturday by appointment from 8-12. Dr Hall and Dr. Rajapara see patients between 9-12 with appointments. Sorry if this caused any confusion. Our website www.kccare.org is updated with hours and any change of hours as necessary.
Hi Kristinia - if you go to the KC CARE website - www.kccare.org - click on patients it will take you to an online document you can fill out and will help you set up an initial appointment.
Hi Britney, KC CARE provides a wide variety of services and we do have a sliding fee scale for some patients. We need proof of residency and proof of income to qualify for the sliding fee. My suggestion is make an appointment - www.kccare.org.
Sorry we are not open
The pharmacy I think you're referring to (where you walk inside KC CARE and have to be buzzed though to the pharmacy) is not the same as Walgreens Speciality Pharmacy, CVS Pharmacy, etc. Those pharmacies may offer mail delivery, but KC CARE currently does not.
TB tests are done every Wed from 9-11am . It's a flat fee of $10. Bring in your income, ID and proof of residency.
Yes, I have friends that work there and it was unbelievably interesting the different clinics and things that they provide, do and treat at that facility. An extremely wide range scope from General Medicine, HIV clinic, a variety of LGBQT programs, STD clinic, OB and they have a needle exchange program!!! Just to name a few.
I know I'm late but for future reference... Swope Health services has a dental clinic that is in South kc or Riverside, Mo and they take walk ins starting at 730 am first come first serve basis of course but very possible that they will pull them that day...no insurance and if you don't have a co pay tell them that and they will bill you for it.

6 months is not a very long time. It took me a couple of years to get pregnant. I wouldn't be too concerned yet. If you haven't gotten pregnant after trying for a year then I would definitely talk to your doctor.
Absolutely. They also accept insurance.
