A really neat park that's got a old west wagoner gold rush theme. Lots to do with merry go round, roller slides, saucer swing, lots of climbing walls, little country store set up, musical instruments, swings & 2 splash pads in the summer months. There's also a baseball field, tennis courts, horseshoe pits & big hills that are great for sledding when it snows. Highly recommend this park. It also has covered Pavillion, bathrooms & grills to cook on.

I believe they have certain areas for that, but can't close off whole park to do so..
If you want to guarantee a shelter for your party, most definitely reserve it!!! It doesn't cost much and I think it's the best way to go!!!
Ask the Independence Park and Rec to see if you're able to set up a bounce house
It should open memorial day weekend hours are from dawn to dusk

No. There is definitely No place for dogs of any size to run free.
We took our son I don't think it was on thank you though
They have a nice paved trail next to the park that goes under 24 and next to the Truman library for at least a couple of miles.
