My husband planned this trip for my birthday and it was the best experience ever. The team effort was amazing, the way they communicated through out the whole ride was great. Watching the sunrise was the best out of the whole experience.

What a great experience! It was our anniversary and couldn’t have asked for anything better. It was all arranged perfectly from beginning to end. The staff was awesome, a real team. My experience was that if you actually want to see a sunrise from a hot air balloon, do not use this company. It was so frustrating watching all the other companies balloons get up in the air while we were sitting in our van.......for over an hour. So, once we actually did get up in the air, the sun had already rose and our trip was similar to being lifted in a crane seat high in the air and then we came down. We could've gotten that at the County Fair for a lot less cost. My only request is to please stop with the false advertising and calling this a sunrise hot air balloon ride, because you actually need to be up in the air to see the actual sunrise. We counted 9 other hot air balloons in the air early enough and they all saw it, while we were sitting on the ground. I would've understood if it was because of the weather or anything with safety, but, it was not and it was just due to their lack of organization and lack of coordination and planning. What a horrible experience.

The balloon and wine festival has been cancelled in 2020. It will be back in 2021.
Until further notice, our entire staff and team will be required to wear masks over their nose and mouth and gloves on their hands at all times. At California Dreamin’, we have always had high standards as far as cleanliness is considered, however, we have increased our cleaning efforts substantially. Every wipeable surface including our restroom facilities, balloon baskets, car seats and doors, tables, chairs, and bar tops are being sanitized with Wine Industry Sanitizer. In addition, our pre-flight check-in process and release form meeting will be non-contact as our staff remains a safe 6 feet distance away from you and your guests. Hand sanitizing stations will be set up for your convenience as well. Finally, at this time, for your safety, California Dreamin’ will be suspending our breakfast service until further notice. We will still be offering mimosas post-flight, where all glassware used will be sanitized regularly.
Hi there! Thank you for your question. The Sunrise flights begins at 5:45am. The meeting spot is at Vindemia Winery in Temecula. From there, the pilot and crew will shuttle you to the launch spot where you watch the balloon inflate and then climb aboard for an hour long adventure! After, you are then shuttled back to Vindemia Winery where you will enjoy a llight european breakfast of local cheese, bread and fruit as well as coffee, tea and mimosas. In addition you will recieve a 2 for 1 wine tasting for Vindemia. The entire experience is about 3 1/2 hours long. Let me know if you have any further questions!

The largest basket holds 14 total - 7 on one side and 7 on the other side separated by the pilot. Baskets may hold 2, 6, 8, 10, and 14. 3. Time in the air is about one hour. 4. It is not tethered. We do not, only Sunrise! In Temecula, it’s too windy to put a balloon up in the afternoon. and safety is our #1 priority.
