had a good experience here. needed new tires installed + handlebar tape. i have had a few bad experiences in bike shops due to being relatively new and not a professional cyclist by any means. i work in specialty retail so know the importance of welcoming customers of all skill levels, so i really appreciated feeling like i was being taken care of here without judgment.

i have boxed up two bikes myself before, each an insufferable headache occurring only as a last-ditch effort to salvage travel plans gone awry. this time, however, i had the good sense to call these people ahead, knowing my travel was already suboptimal. setting up an appointment over the phone was seamless and my bike was boxed up professionally and expediently in under a day on a summer weekend (!). they even managed to stuff all my touring garbage in there - a tent, some frame bags, some somewhat nonstandard equipment. oh and somehow they fit the rear wheel, fender, and entire drivetrain in without disassembling - meaning that putting the bike together back home took me well under an hour (and i am no hasty nor talented mechanic). listen i still prefer amtrak but this was money well spent.
