I wanted to get my Lab, Momos' nails clipped before the holidays, a prescription refill and his weight taken. Luckily both staff and Momo were available at 2pm on the day I called. Momo lost over 3 lbs, yeah his diet was slowly working, and staff suggested some healthy snacks like zucchini, and celery. The vet checked Momo and refilled his thyroid prescription, so all our needs were met, efficiently, timely and the staff were very busy yet very helpful and courteous. What more could I ask for! Thank you Banfield Pet Hosp.

Not only does this place have inconvenient hours, good luck trying to reach them during hours too. I can’t stress enough not a to take your dog here. For a month I’ve tried calling during hours to get info on my pet’s vaccination records and to schedule an appoint and I still haven’t been able to reach anyone here even after leaving messages. This place is a joke and a waste of time and money. I had to call the Thousand Oaks location just to get the info I needed. They also turned my extremely anxious dog away 3 separate times even with 3 of the staff helping. Yes he has behavioral issues and gets aggressive when he is taken from us and put in a crate for an hour (I asked to have him wait with me until he was ready to be seen and they wouldn’t give me back my dog?) but we’ve been going to different banfields for 5 years and have never been turned away. Mind you, we live 30min away and had to keep driving to and from just to have them reject us. FINALLY a vet offered to do the check up in the lobby which we’ve requested and they denied the last 3 times and he was fine. Got the check up done no problem. These people are not good with dogs with behavioral needs, and don’t care about your time. If I wasn’t in a contract that would cost me more money when I canceled I’d be done with this place.

How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 13, 2020

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 13, 2020
Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 13, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).

Do you do treatment on snakes? I have a juvenile female bullsnake who is showing early stages of a respiratory infection, looking for a vet that can provide antibiotics or treatment.

Do they offer xrays for cats and if so what is the average price?

Yes they do offer xrays, but I don't know the cost. We have their wellness plan (which I highly recommend), and xray is included at the level we got for our dog.
