I stayed in site 21 loop 1, we were the only campers here on a Thursday night. My gawd when people say there are bugs here that is an understatement. There were THOUSANDS of mosquitos and yellow jackets, I brought bug spray and deet which did not help. I was here in July and it was hot and windy all night long. Ok so the road up here to this campgrounds is very narrow and winding, some points there is no way 2 cars can fit, watch for those switch backs. Yikes.

I’m not a big camper. But I’ve been to this place twice is beyond stunning. If you walk around the campsite you’ll find some gorgeous views of coastal mountains and valley. Best season is from March to May/June. No flies during that time. Plus it’s extremely quite and peaceful.

Yes you can. There is a fee tube and envelopes so you can self register. $20.00 per night.
It can accommodate an RV we saw a few when we were there. But the road up to it is very narrow and Rocky and large pot holes. Also there is a constant mist there that doesn't seem to go away cause your in the clouds.
I dont think they have RV hookups - no drinking water either, but absolutely beautiful! Manzanita trees, quiet, serene
There wasn't anyone in the center when i visited, but if you go on the road to pass the campground you will come across the entrance of several trails
