This trainer will not fit everyone. We went here a few years ago and I still feel as though our money was wasted. Fun fact: anyone in NYS can become a dog trainer, no certification or training required. Wish we had known this and vetted the trainers in the area better beforehand. My dog took Basic Manners learned to sit and lie down, and nothing else. Andrea was very judgmental toward us and acted like we were the problem when we were seeking help to try and help our dog understand us better. Often, she blamed us for problems with the training that she initiated, like giving our dog who has IBS different treats than what we brought with us, meaning he stopped responding to our treats. Picked favorites in the class based on which dogs got it faster. We also heard some very weird and questionable things too, like "dogs only let us pet their bellies because they know we like to" ??? Definitely no... It was a one-size fits all class. A lot of it was information that could be googled too. Maybe it has changed. I would recommend a private trainer for anyone looking to focus on specific issues with their dog.

Hi Daniel ~ There are no beaches per say, but, many people bring their dogs up onto the SUNY Oswego campus. There is a flat rock area adjacent to the parking area next to the Mary Walker Health Clinic on campus where off leash dogs can access the lake. Hope that helps.
My dog was older. Though somewhat trained. She needed some refining. I would recommend her and for you to call.
