I love this church! It's so warm and welcoming. I immediately felt at home upon my first visit (5 mos ago). Pastor Scott is great, Tim is hilarious! Alex the youth pastor is amazing as well...Pastor G. Is new but I like him too! The love and concern for each other and others is genuine. They have so many outreach programs and ways to give back to the community and be an example of Christ. I have to find my nitch and serve in this beautiful body of Christ. I definitely cannot forget the choir I LOVE that you sing songs on the radio . I just wish the congregation lifted their voices more.. but this choir is AMAZING ..Dont change... I wish I had a voice because I would be up there singing! Thank you Community Christian Church for representing the body of Christ in LOVE and in EVERYTHING you do!

Hi, Wanted to let you know there are also some fantastic groups that meet on Wednesday nights at the church. From kids ministries to women's bible studies, men's bible studies and several other groups that have something for everyone. The people here are so loving and kind but you can't appreciate all they have to offer until you get into small groups and really make those connections with other believers. You'll be amazed how many other Christian brothers are sisters are looking for fellowship with Christ hearted people. My family goes Sunday nights, we'll keep an eye out for you and say hi.

In Jesus's day it was a Jewish law from the time of Moses that the firstborn son be taken to the temple and dedicated to the Lord. So, Joseph and Mary took Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem to fulfill this law. While there, a devout Jewish man named Simeon was promised that he would not die until he saw the Messiah. When he saw Jesus he took the child and praised God stating that he had finally seen the Messiah. This is all found in Luke 2:21-40 Although, we (Jews who are messianic and Christians are no longer bound by the old laws, we still follow the beautiful tradition of dedicating babies, as Jesus was, asking God's blessings and wisdom to raise our children in the way that pleases the Lord. There it is in a rather long explanation but hope it helps.
As Angelica mentioned the church does baby dedications and all family members are encouraged to be a part of this wonderful tradition. Baptisms are performed on believers who are old enough to understand and comprehend the nature of their sin, a need for a savior, that Jesus Christ is our savior, accept Christ as their savior and then following that decision you can be baptized. So, not so much physical age but an age of recognition of what you're doing and a personal matured decision. Hope that helps.
There are several pastors in this church and they have 4 live services on Sunday and most of them are live streamed to the internet as well.
