Staff was super friendly and helpful. We only waited 10-15 min on a Tuesday at about 3pm. My first sushi plate I picked was the “Real Crab Meat” roll. It was warm and dry. I thought sushi came cold? No eel options. :(

Atmosphere is cool and service is very quick. It seems like you need a reservation most evenings between 6pm -9pm.The flavor of the sushi just feels like it's missing something, especially given the prices.

Pro tip. Download the app and join the wait-list ahead of time. This will make sure you get a spot. Otherwise you might not get a table because spots fill up fast. Food wise amazing food at a solid price.

Good food. Before arriving, Download the Kura app to see wait times. This is definitely not a place to show up to wait for a table to open. At 11 am, the wait can start to be about 70 minutes, and they open at 1030.

The app is the best option. You can add your name to the list from any location and it will update you on the wait time.
They mostly have tables, but they also have a bar-like booth if that's what you're asking.
Kura has its own app. Should be more accurate.
Probably 2 years ago.....
CJ, The fact that you can actually add yourself to the wait-list without being within the proximity of the restaurant is a huge plus as it is.. most places that you can join the wait-list are proximity based so they know you are there. Kura also gives a generous 15 minutes once your reservation is called. Most places are 10 or less. This place is extremely popular and I love it! I understand your frustrations but stuff happens and their is an algorithm built in to their wait-list system. I recommend just being within a short distance which is what I normally do anyway.
No not that kinda place
They have both, and each table has a screen you can click on each food and see its ingredients/allergens! Then there's a separate conveyor for things ordered just for your table!
You can requested to the waitress.
Yeah, they have outdoor sitting and take out.
Download their app to be put on the waiting list before you arrive. Or don't go during busy hours. I've never waited more than 15 min.
No, you chose what to eat. It passes by through a conveyor belt and you pick your plate!
Kura rice is organic and gluten free. Their tempura batter is made with rice flour which is also gluten free. The sashimi is gluten free. While the rolls and marinated fish is probably not , you do have some options on the menu that is gluten free. Ask the waiter if they have gluten free soy sauce and wasabi. Hopefully this helps.
Just a few honestly, probably not the best place to go for a vegetarian.
Can't do reservations in advance, just check in, in person or with their Kura app and wait for your turn.
Also do not go close to closing time. They will be out of ingredients for some of the rolls.
Nope, you check your party in via a tablet at the door and get a text when it's your turn or the staff yell your name. Edit: there's no app for this restaurant as of this writing - 5/12/18
I believe it is a common mistranslation from Japanese to English. If you Google "Japanese L and R" there are many links to explain this
