My friend is here and her experience has been quite negative however I would rather give my experiences as her friend. I sent a package of simple OTC from Walgreens to help her with her many symptoms so she can be more comfortable and finally get a good night sleep. I purchased all OTC, sent it by USPS and was told the next day it arrived at 3:41 pm yet no one at Emerald Park gave it to my friend! I suppose it was just too much for any of the staff to get in an elevator to deliver the package. My friend has terrible headaches and heartburn and Excedrin Migraine and Tums were in that package that would have quickly given her some relief. The Admin decided to leave for the day and to lock the box in her office. Next day I called twice, texted and left a message and finally spoke with someone who said she would be very happy to bring the package to my friend but she never did. At this point the package had been there for 25 hours but my friend in pain who needed it never saw it! I had it by then and I called the Police who were also more than happy to help. It turned out a Fireman showed up and delivered my package to my friend but it was confiscated by Nurse Ratchet who insisted a doctor examine the contents to be sure they are OTC. If she is really a nurse she should know! She even confiscated womens vitamins in a sealed unopened bottle as well as Mylanta and 2 OTC drugs for acid reflux pain, an OTC for nausea and a red clown nose! We don’t know how long it will take for them to get approval of these items she needs so much to relieve her discomfort. Items anyone can buy in Walmart or CVS! But by what I have witnessed so far no one will be sure the process is speedy. For sure speed as well as compassion and professionalism is too much to wish for at Emerald Park! There are many much worse stories to tell as well but this one is mine. I am adding to this because longer than a month has gone by with numerous calls and my friend has still not received her OTC and suffers with many symptoms every day and night. Please do not send your loved one here. You would be heartless to do so. The food is horrible too and not a single person who works there has done anything to relieve my friend’s symptoms with so much as an aspirin!!!

My cousin recently moved in on the recommendation of Jason, a business manager(?..). So far he kind of sold us ...a bill of goods... My cousin's laundry has been unreturned for over a week, last night she asked for something different for dinner and was told it was too late to change her order, she was told there were folks of the Jewish faith there and my cousin has yet to meet any...on the plus side, she made a nice friend and likes to play bingo.I am NOT over the moon about Emerald..its not a gem. .
